New to Blacksburg? Relocation resources...
Blacksburg, Virginia - one of the most beautiful towns along the Appalachian Mountains, and the largest town in Virginia - is an interesting, eclectic mix of academia and appalachia, a veritable , if small, melting pot of cultures and backgrounds. While not encompassing a vast space or millions of people, the town's many diverse neighborhoods, pocket of commerce, venues of entertainment amd various amenities can take a bit of time to learn. I can assist with that. I offer specialized relocation packages, tailored to a relocater's specific needs, tours of the town and surrounding neighborhoods, and concierge services, so to speak, to those new to the area. Searching for real estate - Websites ABOUND!A few Google searches unearth a vast amount of data about the Blacksburg area and real estate. The challenge is not in finding information - it is in finding the most accurate, relevant and up-to-date information. Real estate websites abound - some are fed from local Multiple Listing Services; some from the various national real estate franchies; some from listings that agents input themselves. Some websites refresh their information feeds hourly; some daily; some weekly.
When you're searching for the right property to buy, information that is a day or two old can mean losing out on opportunities you've been holding your breath for. I can provide you with your own portal by which to access our local Multiple Listing Service - the online source agents themselves rely on most to learn which properties are available - and email updates notifying you when a property that meets your search parameters hits the market. Both of these sources of information are yours - and you don't have to hear from me personally each time you want to use them. We set up the resources and you can use them at your leisure. Sign up for your own search portal and email updates by clicking here. All of the above also applies to searching for foreclosure properties to buy. Websites are prevalent, offering lists of local foreclosure properties (many charging a fee to do so). While foreclosures are not always a part of of the local Multiple Listing Service, I've hours of experience navigating the many sources of foreclosures. Also, in order to bid on a foreclosure through the U.S. Dept. of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) Homestore, a buyer must use a broker licensed to do so with HUD. I can place a bid for you through my manager broker. Learn more here. |
